Presence of IT was established in Sydney in 1999 as a specialist HR/Payroll service provider to the Australian Marketplace. The company has since expanded with offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth, and international offices in the US, Canada, Singapore and South Africa.

Opportunity 
Two significant opportunities exist to join Presence of IT in Canada. The role is for a permanent Senior SAP HR Consultant. One based in Montreal and one based Toronto Canada. Our candidates must be a Canadian Citizen. There may be some travel required. The candidate will be working on projects and production support for our existing global client base

 

  • Responsible for providing specialist professional consulting services and solutions to customer/business in designing, implementing and supporting SAP HR systems and related services
  • Compensation negotiable - Depending on Experience & Communication Skills

  • Reports to the Canadian Business Partner
  • May manage other SAP Consultants
  • Will interact with customers at the middle to senior management level, various specialist consultants and peripheral suppliers and partners

  • Typically you will have a tertiary level qualifications coupled with at least 3-6 years of experience in business management, IT, systems integration consulting or design with more than 5 years SAP project implementation experience principally in SAP HR and related functional areas

Main Activities

  • Designing, implementing, developing and supporting high quality SAP business solutions
  • Evaluating customers' business needs, thus contributing to the overall strategic planning of SAP systems facilities and technology.
  • Being accountable for defined SAP assignments
  • Working with major customers during preliminary installation and testing of developed SAP HR/Payroll/Portals and related solutions/products.            
  • Providing ongoing technical support and advice to Presence of IT’s customer base.
  • Such other duties that may, from time to time, be assigned

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Gather and analyze business requirements from HR Business Owners
  • Perform functional design for new projects and enhancements to existing projects
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends as required
  • Develop functional and technical specifications for system changes
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency of systems analysis tools and methodologies
  • Perform system configuration for SAP HR (experience in Enterprise Compensation Management – ECM, Performance Management, ESS/MSS, e-Recruiting is an asset)
  • Strong Experience in QA/testing and production support
  • Working knowledge of SAP Human Resources master data in order to evaluate and analyze the impact of configuration or process changes across other HR and SAP modules
  • Support internal or third party programming/development activities
  • Ensure adherence to change control policies and audit guidelines
  • Administer user support documentation and provide training and coaching to end users
  • Create plans and lead QA/test activities for all configuration/development activities
  • Provide production support for SAP Payroll by utilizing troubleshooting skills
  • Proficient in all MS Office Applications especially Excel & Access
  • Proficient in Lotus Notes & Outlook
  • Specialist knowledge of SAP Technical Developments and related functionality
  • Strong analytical skills, and a good understanding of information technology concepts and processes
  • Recognized as a leading specialist in SAP area
  • Good understanding of broad business issues
  • Flexible ability to either work within a team or to demonstrate leadership qualities to less experienced consultants
  • Bilingual in French and English
